The jersey bore Biden’s last name and the number “46” on the back, a playful nod to his presidency.
Starmer’s passion for Arsenal is well-known. A season ticket holder, he has been spotted at numerous matches. This isn’t the first time he’s gifted a personalized Arsenal shirt to a fellow politician. He previously presented a similar jersey to French President Emmanuel Macron.
The Downing Street press office explained that the gift was a personal gesture from Starmer, reflecting his long-standing love for the North London team.

Starmer’s visit to the White House was part of NATO’s 75th anniversary summit. He represented Britain on the world stage, addressing issues of international diplomacy and the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
In addition to the Arsenal jersey, Starmer also presented President Biden with a copy of the Atlantic Charter, a historic agreement that paved the way for NATO. The document included amendments made by Clement Attlee, the Labour Party leader at the time.
During his visit, Starmer emphasized the importance of the U.K.’s “special relationship” with the U.S., stating that it is “stronger now than ever.” He also reiterated his unwavering support for Ukraine in its ongoing war with Russia.
