Israeli army orders evacuation of entire Gaza City

Palestinian media circulated a photo of leaflets dropped by the Israeli army on Gaza City, calling on residents of the Gaza City areas to move south, describing it as a “dangerous combat zone.”

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that “thousands of citizens in the Gaza Strip were forced to flee without knowing their destination.”

Israeli Quadcopter drones fired on the streets surrounding the fishermen’s port west of Gaza City on Wednesday morning.

Israeli artillery shelled the Sabra neighborhood in the south of Gaza City.

The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip said, “The situation in the Strip is very tragic and there is continuous Israeli shelling from various directions.”

He added: “We are unable to rescue the martyrs, the wounded, and those trapped in homes and under the rubble,” noting that “our equipment and machinery are out of order due to repeated breakdowns and fuel shortages.”

He stated that “a number of the wounded were martyred before reaching Kamal Adwan Hospital due to the difficulty of movement.”

He explained that “the occupation deliberately prevents humanitarian services in order to force the people of Gaza City and its north to move south.”

He said, “About 70% of the Gaza Strip is under fire and our crews are unable to reach it.”

A number of people were killed and wounded following a number of citizens were targeted by an Israeli reconnaissance missile in the vicinity of Abu Zakari Supermarket, east of Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip.

He added, “We warn that patients’ lives are now in extreme danger.”

He called on all international organizations to “intervene immediately to avoid a humanitarian disaster.”

Meanwhile, Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), said that “four schools were bombed in the Gaza Strip in the last four days.”

In a separate context, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Fatah movement, said in a statement: “We bombed the enemy’s soldiers and vehicles at the Rafah crossing gate and its surroundings with two 107 rockets and heavy mortar shells.”

The Mujahideen Brigades said in a statement that its fighters “targeted the Kosovim military site east of Al-Qarara (northeast of Khan Yunis) with two 107 missiles.”
