On Wednesday, July 10, the government of Nicolás Maduro announced the payment of the special “Vacations 2024” bonus through the Patria System.
(The subsidy) is a special complement to the “Against the Economic War” bonus corresponding to July 2024,” stated the Bonos Protectores Social al Pueblo account on X (formerly Twitter).
The special “Vacations 2024” bonus corresponds to 1,825 bolivars, equivalent to 49.98 dollars, according to the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) rate on July 10, which was 36.51 bolivars.

What is the special bonus for? “Holidays 2024“?
Although the government of Nicolás Maduro indicated that the purpose of the bonus payment is for Venezuelans to enjoy recreational activities, the amount is insufficient to meet basic food needs.
This subsidy is enough to buy the eight products in the Petare Basket, which costs 41.78 dollars, reported the Venezuelan Financial Observatory (OVF).
Prices were consulted by the organization between June 23 and 29, which represents week 26 of 2024.

-A carton of 30 eggs: 180 bolivars or $4.93
-A package of corn flour: 48 bolivars or $1.31
-One kilogram of white cheese: 190 bolivars or $5.21
-One kilogram of meat: 320 bolivars or $8.77
-A package of coffee: 480 bolivars or $13.16
-A kilo of rice: 65 bolivars or $1.78
-One liter of oil: 175 bolivars or $4.80
-A kilo of sugar: 65 bolivars or $1.78
Likewise, a Venezuelan needs at least 12 deposits of the special “Vacations 2024” bonus to acquire the 61 products in the basic family basket for June 2024, which was set at almost 590 dollars, according to the Documentation and Social Analysis Center of the Venezuelan Federation of Teachers (Cendas-FVM).
Oscar Meza, president of Cendas-FVM, reported on July 1, through his account on X (formerly Twitter), that the basket is designed for a family of five members.
How to collect the “Vacations 2024” bonus?
Those who are beneficiaries of this payment will be informed via a text message from the number 3532 and through the veMonedero application.
“The 2023 Community Vacation Plan is a beautiful project, our boys and girls will enjoy the best recreational dynamics,” reads the notification message.
To collect the funds, users must log in to the Patria platform, go to “wallet” and then select “withdraw funds.”
Click on the wallet of origin, amount and destination of the funds, then click on “continue” and then select “accept”.
Once this procedure is completed, the system will display on the screen that the operation was successful.
The “Vacations 2024” bonus is awarded randomly to citizens who are registered in the Patria System.
