The “Theatrical Meeting Days” they come back once more under the auspices of the Vice-Mayor of Culture and Sports and in the context of the events of the “Cultural Summer 2024” of the Municipality of Aegialia.

The “Days of Theatrical Meetings”, are one of the most beloved institutions in the region, highlighting the inexhaustible talent and passion of the people who staff the theater groups of Aegialia and offer entertainment to the public contributing significantly to the cultural dynamics of the region.

The theater festival will take place from Wednesday July 10 to Wednesday July 17, with the participation of seven theater groups from Aegialia who will present their productions to the public, in the outdoor theater “Georgios Pappas”, located in the surrounding area of ​​the Cultural Center of Aegis “Alekos Megaris”.

Admission, on all days of the event, will be free, while all shows will start at 21:30.

Wednesday July 10: “The Trial of War”, Alumni Theater Group – Children’s stage

Children’s anti-war comedy

The few children who manage to survive following a deadly war capture War, Bomba and Warchief and put them on trial for the destruction. Saturday July 13: “TOK Show”, Theatrical Expression of Aigio (THEA).

Some people, who suffer from some kind of obsessive-compulsive disorder (toc), which makes their lives very difficult, meet in the lobby of a doctor’s office to meet a famous doctor. But the doctor in question does not appear and so they decide to deal with their compulsions by making an effort all together as a team.

They discuss, argue, dance presenting the “theme” or their thoughts. These “patients”, if they are indeed patients, measuring their strengths once morest their weakness, weave a human fabric that the viewer observes, possibly recognizing one of his own small or large compulsions. The play puts under the microscope of exaggeration, as all plays do, some of the problems of the people who live among us and end up obsessive and unfortunately sometimes lonely.

A timeless comedy that will provide lots of laughs.

Wednesday, July 17: “GOLFO”, Theatrical Stage “Renaissance” of Akrata

The Cultural Association “Rebirth” of Akrata presents the play “Golfo”, by the blind playwright and poet of our country Spyridonos Peresiadis. The play is directed by Elena Kalaitzis and Ingrid Koutsourelis (theater group GREINE LINDA), original music by Michalis Kalogerakis, lighting design by Marios Koutsourelis, accompanied by live music.
