The “Theatrical Meeting Days” they come back once more under the auspices of the Vice-Mayor of Culture and Sports and in the context of the events of the “Cultural Summer 2024” of the Municipality of Aegialia.
The “Days of Theatrical Meetings”, are one of the most beloved institutions in the region, highlighting the inexhaustible talent and passion of the people who staff the theater groups of Aegialia and offer entertainment to the public contributing significantly to the cultural dynamics of the region.
The theater festival will take place from Wednesday July 10 to Wednesday July 17, with the participation of seven theater groups from Aegialia who will present their productions to the public, in the outdoor theater “Georgios Pappas”, located in the surrounding area of the Cultural Center of Aegis “Alekos Megaris”.
Admission, on all days of the event, will be free, while all shows will start at 21:30.

Wednesday July 10: “The Trial of War”, Alumni Theater Group – Children’s stage
Children’s anti-war comedy
The few children who manage to survive following a deadly war capture War, Bomba and Warchief and put them on trial for the destruction. Logical and illogical arguments for and once morest the war are exchanged, while Pyravlos undertakes the defense of the accused. The Bomb, of course, threatens everyone that it will…explode. But the appearance of Irene overturns all the pro-war arguments and the play concludes with a pro-peace speaker and an anti-war song.

Thursday, July 11: “The thief is calling”, Skepasto Theater Group
An honest accountant, Timoleon, undertakes to clear the books of an organization run by Mr. Solon, a retired general. After a thorough investigation, he uncovers the management misdeeds of the general’s brother-in-law, who, however, has been moving for years behind the backs of Lias’ sister. The revelations will bring confusion and the whole upheaval will lead to the imprisoning Timoleon, who defends the truth and will be vindicated in the end. A great “landscaper” of the Athenian society of the 1950s and 1960s and a keen designer of characters, Dimitris Psathas records in a unique way situations that seem to have a… permanent topicality in Greece.
Friday, July 12: “The Addams Family” – “The musicArts”
The musical theater group ‘The musicArts’ comes with a dark comedy to spread endless laughter!
The Addams family lives in a dark and strange world. Their daughter Wednesday grows up and falls in love with a sweet boy from the “outside” world! What will happen when these two families meet? The normal will collide with the abnormal, marriages will be shaken and secrets will be revealed! Will she finally triumph? love? If you’re Adams anything can happen!
Saturday July 13: “TOK Show”, Theatrical Expression of Aigio (THEA).
Some people, who suffer from some kind of obsessive-compulsive disorder (toc), which makes their lives very difficult, meet in the lobby of a doctor’s office to meet a famous doctor. But the doctor in question does not appear and so they decide to deal with their compulsions by making an effort all together as a team.
They discuss, argue, dance presenting the “theme” or their thoughts. These “patients”, if they are indeed patients, measuring their strengths once morest their weakness, weave a human fabric that the viewer observes, possibly recognizing one of his own small or large compulsions. The play puts under the microscope of exaggeration, as all plays do, some of the problems of the people who live among us and end up obsessive and unfortunately sometimes lonely.
(The work is not suitable for people under 16).
Sunday, July 14: “Whoever wants to divorce, raise his hand”, Alumni Theater Group
A love that lasts twenty years but remains unacknowledged…Friendships that have to wear clothes other than their own in order to be established…A perfect marriage that falls apart as soon as a little light is turned on…Wonderful lives that are enviably advertised on instagram but not to each other…Family role models of joy that cocooned joy… And all this with laughter. With a lot of laughter! Because following all…what else is left for us?
(The project is suitable for people over 12 years old).

Tuesday, July 16: “Tis Kakomoira”, Diakopto Theater Group
“Bakalogatos” with the unforgettable Kostas Hatzichristos, is known from the movie “THE BAD FATE” (1963) written and directed by Dinos Katsouridis. The script was based on the play of the same name by Christos and Giorgos Giannakopoulos. An iconic and unrepeatable popular response success, a wild comedy that we still enjoy today and even though we have seen it hundreds of times, we have the feeling that we are seeing it for the first time! A timeless comedy that will provide lots of laughs.
Wednesday, July 17: “GOLFO”, Theatrical Stage “Renaissance” of Akrata
The Cultural Association “Rebirth” of Akrata presents the play “Golfo”, by the blind playwright and poet of our country Spyridonos Peresiadis. The play is directed by Elena Kalaitzis and Ingrid Koutsourelis (theater group GREINE LINDA), original music by Michalis Kalogerakis, lighting design by Marios Koutsourelis, accompanied by live music.
