The commitment that the government will provide additional electrical space of the order of GW was expressed by the Minister of Energy, Theodoros Skylakakis, in an interview with the newspaper “Parapolitika” yesterday, Saturday (03.03.24).
In more detail, according to newsit, o Theodoros Skylakakis characteristically stated that “the network currently covers, in terms of electrical space, all existing investments – and the additional 16GW that we have given in terms of connection.
We will provide additional electrical space (of the order of 5GW) with a series of measures that we will take (eg utilization of batteries, etc.) that will cover us until 2030.
Gradually, with the system I described to you, which includes hydroelectric, wind, offshore, photovoltaic, biomass and geothermal – when we can – our country will gain energy independence and become, at some point, an exporter of electricity.”
