Reports on social media about Hajj are baseless: Pakistan Hajj Mission

Pakistan Haj Mission on Wednesday on social media of Pakistanis During Hajj Rejected reports of people being unaided at religious places and said there was no truth in such videos.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has appealed to the public to avoid listening to unconfirmed news and rumors related to Hajj on social media.

Earlier, there were reports circulating on social media that Pakistanis are facing trouble during the summer season for the holy prayers in Hajj 2024 and they are not being heard.

Director General of Pakistan Hajj Mission, Abdul Wahab Soomro, said in a statement that there is no truth in the rumors that Pakistanis were left helpless at places of religious rituals during Hajj this year.

Soomro said that the authenticity of these videos and when and in which year they were taken are also not clear.

He said that the Saudi government has made a system related to burial and cremation in Haram, while following the request of the family, the body can also be sent to Pakistan.

On Tuesday, Saudi Health Minister Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajal said That the health plans in Hajj 2024 proved to be successful and no epidemic or other disease problem occurred.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the minister said in a press release: ‘Thanks to Allah, and the unwavering support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the close supervision of the Saudi Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, I am happy to announce that This year, the health plans of Hajj were successful.

He said that his ministry was responsible for serving 390,000 Hajj pilgrims this time.

These measures are aimed at protecting pilgrims from the dangers of overheating during the rituals and addressing potential health challenges.

He specifically acknowledged the Central Haj Committee’s recommendation that pilgrims avoid performing rituals during high temperatures.
