The Venezuelan oil production presented an average increase of 922,000 barrels per day during the closing of the first quarter of 2024, as reported by the national government, in the latest balance offered to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
In this sense, according to this information, the country had an increase of 12,000 barrels per day compared to May of the aforementioned year. In addition, this positions the nation as the second OPEC member with the highest levels of crude oil extraction in said period of time.

However, this report differs from the data handled by the organization, since, according to the presidential leader Nicolas MaduroI affirm that Venezuela exceeded one million barrels per day.
In this context, according to direct sources from the international organization, they indicate that the average national production, for the month of June 2024, was set at 851,000 barrels per day, which reflects 71,000 barrels below what was reported by the Venezuelan executive.
However, in this balance the monthly increase presents 21,000 barrels, which estimates 9,000 thousand barrels per day registered in the official figures. In addition, according to information from the OPEC, Venezuela It is the second member with the highest production, in this case behind Libya, which has 24,000 barrels per day.

On the other hand, in the second quarter of 2024, the national government averaged a production of 904,000 barrels per day, 40,000 barrels higher than in the first quarter.
