What happened on July 8th?
Today, the Orthodox Church honors the memory of the holy martyr Procopius. He was a warrior under Emperor Diocletian. Once Procopius was ordered to persecute Christians, but his soul was drawn to faith and God, and he was unable to harm the believers. For which he was tortured and executed.
