Kenza Lily has become the first winner of the Fanvue World AI Creator Awards, with her team beating out 1,500 other computer-generated influencers for a $13,000 prize.
Judges told MailOnline they were impressed by the advanced technology behind the AI star, as well as her compelling ‘personality’ and 190,000 Instagram followers.
Kenza’s advanced technology allows it to speak seven different languages and even respond to fans in real time.
Upon accepting the award, the creator of Kenza said: “Winning Miss AI motivates me even more to continue my work in developing AI technology.”
He also released a winning speech video, generated by AI, in which Kenza says: “I am so grateful for this opportunity to thank the creators of AI and to passionately advocate for the positive impact of AI. This journey has been a testament to the power of innovation, collaboration and raising the bar to shape our future.”
“I will continue my mission to empower women around the world, including women in Morocco and the Arab world, and make their voices heard in the technology industry,” she concluded.
The Fanvue World AI Creator Awards was launched with the aim of creating the first beauty pageant for the “AI influencer industry.”
The realistic appearance and technological prowess were evaluated, as well as the influence of the posts on social media.
Laleena came in second place, with her Instagram account claiming to offer “elegant vibes” to her 93,000 followers.
Portugal’s Olivia C. came in third, an AI-powered travel influencer who often shows off her computer-generated models in locations around the world.
“A huge congratulations to Kanza, and all the entries. The global interest in this first Fanvue World AI Creator Awards has been amazing,” said Will Monang, co-founder of Fanvue.
Sofia Novalis, one of the judges and a member of the team behind AI influencer Aitana Lopez, said she was impressed by how different Kenza’s appearance was from typical beauty standards.
While the idea of an AI pageant may seem outlandish now, the organizers believe it might grow into a huge industry.
Fanvue estimates the industry might be worth £1 billion by the end of this year, with creators emerging from all over the world.
