Andy Murray’s career at Wimbledon is over following Emma Raducanu withdrew from appearing as his partner in the mixed doubles event at the Grand Skam tournament.
The 37-year-old former world number one is scheduled to appear alongside Raducanu on Saturday (6/7) evening at the All England Club.
Raducanu cited stiffness in her right wrist as the reason she pulled out of the mixed doubles with Murray.
The 21-year-old tennis player advanced to the fourth round of Wimbledon following defeating ninth seed Maria Sakkari from Greece on Friday (5/7).
“I was forced to make the tough decision to retire from mixed doubles,” said Raducanu.
“I’m disappointed because I wanted to play with Andy Murray but I have to look following my condition,” he continued.

Murray, a two-time Wimbledon champion, was making his final appearance at the Grand Slam tournament before retiring this year.
The Scot was unable to find a replacement for Raducanu as the draw had already been made.
Murray and Raducanu are scheduled to face Zhang Shuai and Marcelo Arevalo. (bbc/Z-1)
