According to him: ‘The accused fired 11 shots and nine mm pistol shells were recovered from the scene. Karachi Police will bring those responsible for this incident to justice.

Asif Ijaz Sheikh added that there is no organization called Al-Fajr, it is just a channel. Like people create pages on social media.

“Similarly, a page has been created in the name of Al-Fajr, through which this news came out, but the name of the group that was involved in the terrorist incident was not revealed.”

DSP CTD Ali Raza was one of the close associates of former Karachi Police official Chaudhry Aslam and was the in-charge CTD Lyari Gang War Cell.

According to the police, CTD is investigating the attack on DSP Ali Raza.

Asif Ejaz Shaikh said that ‘Ali Raza was a brave officer whose career he never shirked from his duties.

“He has worked on a number of high profile cases in which he has been active not only once morest TTP and communal groups but also once morest Lyari gang war and MQM London activists.”

Lack of cameras at crime scene hampers investigation: Police

He often went to Karimabad to meet old friends. DSP Ali Raza worked in many high-profile cases and was also provided with security. He had a bulletproof car which was his personal car.

‘Because he was my good friend, I explained him many times not to act like this, but what happened is sad.

According to Raja Umar Khattab: ‘They have been regularly targeted. The terrorists probably waited for Ali Raza to get out of the car and as soon as he got out of his car, they were shot indiscriminately.

As a result, DSP Ali Raza was hit by four bullets while the security guard of the area also came under fire and he lost his life due to three bullets.

SSP Central Zeeshan Siddiqui told Independent Urdu that he has visited the crime scene twice. Investigations are ongoing from various angles by the police authorities, and information is being obtained from various sources.

According to him: ‘It has been reported that apart from the CTD, other agencies are also working on the case. According to the SSP, there are difficulties due to lack of CCTV cameras at the crime scene.

“While during the investigation, the eyewitness said that there were two armed men on a motorcycle who opened fire.”

Ali Raza’s funeral prayer was performed at Karachi’s Central Police Office on Monday. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Provincial Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar and DSP Police along with senior officials participated in the funeral prayer of Ali Raza.
