World the record in women’s high jump stood for 37 years. The previous achievement was set in 1987 by the Bulgarian Stefka Kostadinova, who took a height of 2.09 meters at the World Championships in Rome (Italy).

“I had a feeling that I would be able to jump 2.07 and maybe 2.10… Finally, I wrote Ukraine in the history of world athletics”– said Yaroslava Maguchih following the victory.

In 19 days, the Olympic Games will begin in Paris.

We will remind you that in September 2023, Yaroslava Maguchih won the Diamond League stage, setting a season record.
