The General Secretary of the KE of the KKE Dimitris Koutsoubas met today, in Perissos, with the Ambassador of Palestine Yussef Dorkhom. The meeting was also attended by George Marinos, a member of the PG of the KE and a member of parliament of the KKE.

In the discussion that followed, the Palestinian Ambassador informed the KKE delegation regarding Israel’s crimes in Gaza and the genocide once morest the Palestinian people, who are putting up strong resistance both in Gaza and in the West Bank, which is also receiving murderous attacks by Israeli occupation army and the settlers. He particularly noted the need for humanitarian aid to arrive immediately from Greece and other countries. Dimitris Koutsoumbas informed the Palestinian Ambassador regarding the Party’s multi-faceted action on the side of the Palestinian people, which continues strongly this season with the Festivals of the Communist Youth of Greece and other events, and reiterated the KKE’s demand for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza Strip and the end of the occupation of the Palestinian territories, for an independent Palestinian state on the borders before June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE also referred to the interventions of the Party in the government and parliament for the immediate recognition of the Palestinian state, according to the unanimous decision of the Parliament, of December 2015, which under the responsibility of the ND government and the previous of the SYRIZA government remains in the drawers.
