Two Napoleonic pistols auctioned for 1.7 million euros – World

2 pistols belonging to the former emperor of France and great general Napoleon Bonaparte have been auctioned for 1.7 million euros. In Pakistani currency, this amount is Rs 51 crore 17 lakh.

Organizers of the Fontainebleau auction in southern Paris said the two pistols have been auctioned, but the government is insisting that the pistols should remain in the country as part of the national treasury.

It should be remembered that the French government has given these pistols of Napoleon, along with many other items used by him, a national treasure.

These pistols are decorated with gold and silver and have Napoleon’s portrait on them. Napoleon is said to have contemplated suicide with these weapons in 1814.
