Actor and presenter Denny Sumargo revealed that when his child is born, he will not share much content regarding it. He wants to keep the special moments of being together with his baby private, just for himself, his wife Olivia Allan, and the baby.
“We are also reducing public appearances, and we want to apologize in advance for the birth process and everything else. So, starting from the birth, we are avoiding publicity because we want to experience it more personally,” said Denny Sumargo when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, on Sunday (7/7/2024).
The star of Perfect Strangers has also cut down on work in order to be able to focus on taking care of his children.
“As new parents, we have agreed that Denny will reduce his work and focus on learning to be a parent,” said Olivia Allan.
Additionally, Denny Sumargo revealed that he does not want to have too many visitors coming to see him following his wife gives birth. He wants to keep the moment of their child’s birth private and not turn it into content for others.
“Many people want to visit us, but we refuse them, and only allow visits following a few months. We are learning to be parents, and we want to maintain control over the situation without seeking too much attention,” said Denny Sumargo.
There were previously some brands that had collaborations involving their future child, but Denny Sumargo has now taken steps to reduce the public exposure of his child. The former basketball player aims to spend quality time with his family in the early months following the child’s birth.
“We have cut down on work, and although we have accepted some collaborations, we have rejected many others because we were unsure whether to publish them. That’s why we have decided that following the birth, it will only be the three of us without much publicity,” he concluded.
