An Italian woman won hearts by fulfilling her 20-year-old dream of wearing her grandmother’s saree.
Olli is an Italian DJ and influencer who dressed the “queen” of his heart in a sari and captured the memorable moment on camera.
Oli’s grandmother was so happy that she even did a little dance wearing a saree.
Vali’s grandmother came to Mumbai with her family 20 years ago, spent a month in India and enjoyed the culture. Ever since then she wanted to wear a saree, but it took many years to realize this dream.
Oli said, ‘The story of my nonna and India started 20 years ago, when they decided to come to Mumbai for a vacation with their family.’
According to Oli, her grandmother told her that ‘everyone looked so amazing, because she loved the television series Sandokan and she loved Indian clothes, she herself was a high fashion tailor (tailor).
