Testing of a jet engine that can deliver anywhere in the world in 2 hours continues in China

Chinese scientists are working on an aircraft engine that will be capable of delivering anywhere in the world within 2 hours.

For this purpose, such a revolutionary engine is being developed which will be able to provide a speed 16 times faster than the speed of sound.

That is, this plane will be able to travel at a speed of regarding 20 thousand kilometers per hour and at the moment the world’s fastest jet power engine is 7 thousand miles per hour, which is part of NASA’s X43A jet.

The test flight of this engine in a prototype model in a supersonic wind tunnel in Beijing was successful, recording outstanding performance in thrust, fuel economy and operational stability.

Professor Jiang Zonglin of the Institute of Machines, China Academy of Sciences, who led the team of scientists, said that this engine might also be used in reusable planes going to Earth orbit.

The design of this futuristic engine is simple, consisting of 3 main components, a single stage air inlet, hydrogen fuel injector and combustion chamber.

The research team simulated flight conditions by placing the engine in a powerful wind tunnel at 9 times the speed of sound.

When it hit the high-velocity air inlet, the high temperature and pressure created shock waves, and these shock waves mixed with the hydrogen fuel and provided the forward thrust.

When the engine was fully heated, the combustion chamber glowed like a Star Wars spaceship.

According to scientists, this air-breathing engine will be able to facilitate travel 16 times faster than the speed of sound, but the wind tunnel capable of such a flight is currently under construction in Beijing, following which full testing can be done.

He said that this engine will be able to provide supersonic speed to commercial aircraft which will be 5 times faster than the speed of sound.
