Who is the acting president of Iran, Dr. Mohammad Mokhbar?

Dr. Mohammad Mokhbar was the Vice President of Iran who has now assumed his duties as Acting President.

Mohammad Mokhbar served as an officer in the Medical Corps of the Revolutionary Guards during the Iran-Iraq War.

In October 2022, he was sent to Moscow along with senior Revolutionary Guard officials and an official from the Supreme National Security Council to finalize an agreement to send Russia drones and surface-to-surface missiles.

In July 2010, the European Union added them to a list of individuals and entities it was sanctioning for alleged involvement in ‘nuclear or ballistic missile activities’. After two years, Muhammad Mokhbar was removed from the said list.
