The organizers highlighted the creative planning and selection of programs, encompassing children’s events, theater productions, the “Ds Third Program,” and concerts. Importantly, these plans are possible due to the canton’s financial guarantee and the generous contributions of numerous sponsors.
From mid-September to May of the following year, there are twelve events scheduled.
Jane Mumford – Reptil will present “Cold-Blooded Cabaret” in the Kunsthauskeller. Following this, in September, the Glarus town church will host “Le Labyrinthe d’Ariana,” featuring music from Hildegard von Bingen to Claudio Monteverdi. “Zeitlupe,” a witty and humorous play, is also on the program. November brings “The Little Witch,” a children’s story adapted from Ottfried Preussler, for young audiences and their accompanying adults. Shortly following, “Längizyti,” a play based on Pedro Lenz, will take the stage.
In the first half of January, “Les Vents Français,” a renowned wind ensemble featuring Emmanuel Pahud, François Leleux, Paul Meyer, and others, will perform at the Kanti auditorium. “De Anderscht vo Anderschtwo” is intended for children aged five and above, along with their companions, and will take place at the Fabriktheater Schwanden. “Angesagt,” featuring Schertenlaib & Jegerlehner, will embark on their farewell tour at the Kunsthauskeller Glarus. In March, the Tetzlaff Quartet will perform at the Ennenda Reformed Church. The traveling theater will present “Puss in Boots,” a fairytale based on the Brothers Grimm, promising an exciting experience. Meanwhile, Patrick Frey will offer his solo program, “Wo bini gsi?,” at the Kunsthauskeller Glarus.
The finale, “Iisziit – Glarnerseel und Tödifirn,” will feature the Bruderboot theater, numerous participants from the Mugg circus, and performances at the Betschwanden church. Similar to “Stets i Truure,” this event will encompass multiple locations.
