“When I do get married, I want to bet big”

Roger Nordin has married his love Jonas Elgh.
For Aftonbladet, the radio profile tells regarding the great happiness.
– It feels absolutely fantastic.
The road here was not smooth sailing, but now the radio profile Roger Nordin and his boyfriend Jonas Elgh have married in a romantic ceremony in the Storkyrkosalen in Gamla Stan, which is next to the Storkyrkan where Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were married. The reason for that is that Nordin is not very religious, hence the choice of venue.
The day before the wedding, the couple had reserved parts of the Mälar pavilion on Kungsholmen for a big pre-party.
– Now that I’m still getting married, I want to invest big and then it will be felt in the wallet. Hopefully it will be the only time because I will not be able to afford several weddings, said Roger Nordin to Aftonbladet before the wedding.

“Feels completely natural”
When Aftonbladet reaches the groom a few hours before the wedding, he explains how the feelings are going.
– It’s a bit too much nerves and tingling. I am “all over the place” to quote a famous prince. But it’s a fantastic feeling to spend the whole weekend with all these wonderful friends and our families, a luxury. That these people direct their summer plans following us, it’s incredible, he says and continues:
– Me and Jonas already talked regarding getting married in 2017, so this is really something we both longed for and something that feels completely natural. We are looking forward to a fantastic weekend with lots of love and hopefully sun.

Celebrating with the 140 closest
When it was time for the wedding, 140 of the couple’s closest friends crowded into the rows of pews when Roger and Jonas said “I do” to each other.

Among the guests were Laila Bagge, Lars-Åke “Babsan” Wilhelmsson and Gert Fylking, friend and radio colleague of Roger Nordin for many years.
After hugs and well wishes, the group went on a chartered boat to Djursholm, where the actual wedding party takes place.
Roger Nordin also reveals where things go following the weekend’s festivities.
– We are leaving on a cruise in the Mediterranean next week, we are going to Venice and Ravenna.

“Many hours of therapy”
As I said, the road to the altar has been crooked. The couple met back in 2014, but chose to go their separate ways a few years later. After a couple of years, the couple started seeing each other once more, thanks in large part to joint custody of the dog Tella, and things went smoothly.
– It was a break that we had to have. We matured a lot and gained a lot of insights. It was many hours of therapy for both me and Jonas. I think we are completely different people today who see each other with different eyes.
