A video is circulating on social media that shows when the National Civil Police (PNC) agents who were traveling in patrol car GUA – 12294 throw Garbage on the side of the La Parroquia marketlocated in zone 6 of Guatemala City.
The images show how a police officer, from the back of a pickup truck, loads a barrel and proceeds to turn it around to dump garbage on the public road.
The Minister of the Interior, Francisco Jiménez, responded to the video saying that he is requesting a report from the PNC on the incident.
“To throw Garbage on the streets causes the drains to become clogged and to a certain extent that is why there are floods.“, Jiménez expresses on the social network X (Twitter).

Inspector Edwin Monroy, spokesman for the PNC, confirmed that the disciplinary proceedings once morest the crew of the police unit has begun.

“The agents (of the PNC) must be examples of civility“, the minister replied to a social network user.
