US officials resign in protest over providing military aid to Israel

A top US State Department official resigned in protest over military aid to Israel.

According to Al Jazeera’s report, Josh Paul, director of political and military affairs at the US State Department, has written in his resignation letter that it is not possible for him to agree with the US government’s policy of providing continued military aid to Israel.

In an interview with The New York Times, Paul also said that “giving Israel a blanket license to kill generations of its enemies will create a new generation of enemies, which is ultimately not in America’s interest.

He said that the US government is repeating the mistakes it has been making for decades, so they refuse to be a part of this process.

For 11 years, Joe Shippaul was involved in the supply of arms to its allies on behalf of the United States.

He said that he might not support the provision of arms to one side of the conflict in the Middle East. We had an obligation to identify serious human rights violations, but we have failed to do so.

Josh Paul said that the supply of weapons to Israel by the Biden administration would lead to more suffering for both Israelis and Palestinians, which is not in the interests of the United States, but since there was nothing I might do regarding it, I resigned. Given.

“It is our responsibility to highlight serious human rights abuses, whoever is committing them,” Josh Paul said.

It should be noted that America provides more than 3 billion 800 million dollars in military aid to Israel annually.
