BIFAN is an annual international film festival that focuses on fantasy, thriller, horror, and mystery genre films.

From Media Indonesia’s monitoring at Bucheon City Hall Main Theater, the location of the screening of the film Siksa Kubur, Saturday (6/7) evening South Korean time, loud applause might be heard outside the room.

Several viewers were seen enthusiastically asking questions to the Producer of Siksa Kibur, Tia Hasibuan and the actor of the film Siksa Kubur, Faradina Mufti in the Question and Answer session.

When met following the screening, Tia admitted that she did not expect many viewers to be able to follow the film well, considering that Siksa Kubur is a horror-religious genre film and tells a story that is close to Muslims, which is not the majority belief in the Ginseng country.

“Yesterday, we had a screening in Indonesia with people who were predominantly Muslim so that they might understand the story more easily. This time, we saw people who were almost non-Muslim. But in fact, their enthusiasm, their response was positive, they understood, they might follow,” said Tia when met, Sunday (7/5).

Watching with the audience, Tia said that during the screening, many viewers closed their eyes and were shocked. Even during the Q&A session, many asked regarding the torture of the grave in the Muslim faith.
