A strong earthquake was felt in Patras.
The earthquake occurred in Ilia with a magnitude of 4.9 on the Richter scale and was also felt in the Achaean Capital.
The earthquake occurred at 20:34, with the epicenter located 10 kilometers from Andravida.
The focal depth of the earthquake was at 14.1 kilometers as the measurement showed. The tremor was felt in areas of Western Greece, with no damage or injuries reported.

“At 20:34 we recorded a 4.9 Richter earthquake 10 km SW of Andravida with a small focal depth of 10 km. There will certainly be many smaller (following)quakes that will be very noticeable. It is TOO EARLY to say with 100% certainty that it was the main earthquake although that is the most likely. TAKE KNOWN EARTHQUAKE PRECAUTIONS” he wrote.
