PTI’s Trinool Jalsa Postponed After Permit Cancellation

Earlier on Saturday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf had filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court for defamation proceedings once morest the Islamabad administration following the cancellation of the NOC.

According to Correspondent Quratul Ain Shirazi, the text of the application said that ‘Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad told the court on July 4 that the NOC has been issued, following which Aamir Mughal sent the government officials to the Jalsa Gah. During a news conference at the Islamabad Press Club on Friday, Rauf Hassan, spokesperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, said that ‘even if all of us are arrested, we will hold a meeting in any case. Whether we can build a stage or not, whether we have lights or not. We will hold the meeting in any case.’

He further said that this is the beginning of a public movement. We will not let it end under any circumstances.’

According to Rauf Hasan: ‘The administration is stopping our workers in the meeting hall. They did not want to give permission earlier, but they have to give mandatory NOC on the order of the court, so they are using state resources to try to prevent us from holding our rally.’

Other leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, including Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Umar Ayub, Asad Qaiser, Umeer Niazi, Hammad Azhar, Shahid Khattak, Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Naeem Haider Panjotha, also posted their social media posts and In the statements, the party workers were directed to reach the meeting place.

Earlier, in June last month, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf announced a rally in Rawalpindi, following which the administration gave permission for the rally at Rawat.

However, on June 2, the PTI leadership announced following a meeting that PTI will challenge the issue of not allowing the rally in Islamabad in court.

It was further asked in the meeting that the district administration should allow PTI to hold rally at F-Nine Park, Parade Ground or Tarnool.
