Venezuela and China deepen trade exchanges

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the People’s Republic of China will deepen exchanges in different commercial areas, the minister for agriculture reported this Wednesday. Wilmar Castro Soteldo, during a meeting with the authorities of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of this Asian nation.

“The Asian giant has proposed promote agricultural cooperation between the countries of the continent to deepen exchanges in areas of trade, investment, science, technology and training in the countryside and the reduction of poverty in rural areas,” Castro Soteldo wrote in his IG network account.

Castro Soteldo explained that the vice minister, Ma Youxiang, was present at the meeting, regarding Venezuela’s participation in the III Forum of China-Latin America and the Caribbean Ministers of Agriculture.

Poverty reduction

“China and Venezuela have carried out the reform of agricultural institutions, we are aimed at reducing poverty, Venezuela is a very important country in cooperation for reduction in Latin America,” said Vice Minister Youxiang, from the meeting held in Weifang. , Shandong province, eastern China, he said.

He added that Venezuela’s participation in the Forum will give new impetus to binational cooperation in agriculture; In this sense, he pointed out that both countries maintain a good relationship and that the results of the dialogue have been “perfected.”

He recalled that in the last High-Level Joint Commission between both countries, seven subcommittees were established that have translated into “tangible” results, “exchanges in agricultural fields have intensified.”

Ma Youxiang ratified the willingness to expand trade with Venezuela, “I hope that more Venezuelan products are in China, we need many products, we are going to talk to customs agents to accelerate matters related to exports from Venezuela.”
