Battlefield 2042 will have a collaborative event with Dead Space

Battlefield 2042 has revealed a surprise, one-of-a-kind collaboration: an iconic crossover with the classic sci-fi horror survival title, Dead Space. Outbreak, this unique, limited-time event, will run for one week, from Tuesday, July 9th to Tuesday, July 16th.

In Outbreak, teams will be tested for their human resilience and skills once morest a new and relentless enemy as they attempt to escape the Boreas Laboratory.

The short trailer, which was revealed today through a post in Xshows the basic gameplay. Battlefield 2042 players will have to contain the iconic Dead Space threat, survive together, and extract each other to win. The mechanics resemble those of other well-known titles in the genre. Players must replenish ammo and other items in the middle of battle and aim for an escape destination.

The Outbreak event joins Season 7, Turning Point, with the motto “Keep the Horde.” There’s also a nod to classic Dead Space helmets, possibly hinting at new cosmetic items.

Players can unlock free rewards for participating in this collaboration, including a new skin and weapon charm, as well as a new player card and badge. This collaboration also includes the Dead Space Bundle, which contains a Legendary Specialist “Marked Man” Outfit, 3 Legendary Weapon Skins, and more. The bundle can be purchased for 2200 BFC.
