RABAT, Morocco, 05 July 2024 -/African Media Agency(AMA)/- Open Startup (OST) continues its commitment to the growth of the African startup ecosystem by launching a call for applications for the OST Program. Developed in collaboration with Columbia Engineering et Columbia Business School In New York, this program aims to support startups in the early stages and identify promising talent in Tunisia, Senegal and Morocco.
OST Program is designed to support 30 selected startups (10 from each country) in their transition from the proof of concept to minimum viable product (MVP) phase during a 18-week intensive hybrid program.
The program will run from September 2024 to January 2025, with a total funding of 50,000 US dollars without compensation distributed to the finalists to stimulate their growth, without any equity investment. In addition to funding, the program will offer personalized training and mentoring delivered by experts and supported by Columbia Business School MBA students. Participants will also have access to a vast international network and will benefit from trips to New York, Tunisia and Moroccoorganized to provide them with international exposure and networking opportunities.

OST Program is part of our ongoing commitment to accelerate technological innovation projects in Africa. It follows our Memorandum of Understanding with the French public investment bank BPI France, aiming to Bringing African innovation closer to the technology ecosystem French, as well as our Global Immersion Week 2024 (GIW), successfully held in Morocco in May. During this event, OST signed memoranda of understanding with key Moroccan entities, including Technopark Maroc and UM6P – Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.
Through the OST Program, the GIW and the MoU, OST underlines its commitment to delivering a set of inclusive programs aimed at accelerating the development of entrepreneurship and the growth of African startups and ecosystems.
