The search for the American tourist who disappeared in Amorgos may have stopped, but his partner has not given up on her efforts.
As Debbie Leshane reports in her Facebook post, the 59-year-old ultimately did not follow the path the authorities were looking for. Debbie spoke to the couple who last saw him and from their meeting new evidence emerged, which may be capable of shedding “light” on the case.
“I had a conversation with the couple who saw and spoke to Albert on his hike at regarding 10:50am. I was told that Albert did not want to go to Chora, he wanted to travel on path 8 to Katapola. This is the trail I thought Albert was on, but the couple said he turned left toward the Country, looking for trail 8 and that’s what they took to Authorities,” Debbie Leshane writes in her post. “They later learned that Albert might have exited Route 8 via a dirt road to his right that zigzagged down the road he was headed.”
As the couple reported to her, the 59-year-old did not seem to be suffering, while he was also equipped with water, as there was intense heat in those days.
