Values, ideals, agony, suspense and unique examples of social realism made a “stop” on the evening of Thursday, July 4, at Agios Vasilios in Patras, which was another important stop in this year’s route of the Municipal Mobile Cinema.
“The lessons of Blaga” – following the atrium of the new City Hall – opened the cinematographic wings of the award-winning director Stefan Komandarev in the Patras region as well, delivering through the big screen moral lessons but also highlighting the crisis that a society is going through and what this entails regarding the psyche of the film’s heroes.
The residents of the area were present and watched a film that is a “bell” in terms of the moral values and codes of the society in which it is referred to, with seventy-year-old Blaga as the protagonist. Of the retired professor who is in mourning over the recent loss of her husband and her existence.
An existence focused on providing the deceased with an elaborate tomb until a phone scam robs her of her savings intended for that purpose as well.
Desperate, in order to achieve her goal, she will cross over to the opposite bank, becoming a fraud herself in the name of “revenge” and not only…
The film was watched by the deputy mayor of Culture Apostolis Aggelis, municipal and district councilors.
The film will be shown once more at 9.30 pm on Sunday 7 July on Thea.
Starring: Eli Skorcheva, Gerasim Georgiev-Gero, Rozalia Abgarian, Ivan Barnev, Stefan Denolyubov, Ivaylo Hristov
