CAN 2025 qualifiers: DRC leads a very playable group with Tanzania

The Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) will play in Group H alongside the Syli National of Guinea, the Taifa Stars of Tanzania and the Walyas of Ethiopia. This is the draw for the African Cup of Nations (CAN) carried out this Thursday, July 4 in Cairo, Egypt by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

It is rather a good draw for the Congolese Fauves who will find old acquaintances in particular the Taifa Stars of Tanzania whom they met a few months ago in Korogho in Ivory Coast during the last African Cup of Nations. Considering their course, the Congolese start as favorites but will have to be very careful not to be complacent and to play as they should. They will be forced to come out of matches like once morest the Lions of Teranga of Senegal in the World Cup qualifiers. Sébastien Desabre’s protégés will compete for a 4th participation in 5 editions since 2015.

The kick-off for these qualifiers will be given in September, when the Leopards will have to surpass themselves once more to seek this qualification which will allow them to remain in the continuity of the current project put in place by the new technical staff.
