Seoul band Hyukoh and Taipei band Sunset Rollercoaster have joined forces to surprise their fans. The two will soon be releasing a collaborative album titled AAA.
The two bands have given the first glimpse of their collaborative project with the release of a single titled Young Man.
Young Man explores the sense of uncertainty regarding the future and the challenges life will face following going through youth.
Despite the contrast from the song’s theme itself, the cheerful melody created for this song showcases the talents of the 10 personnel from both bands who have succeeded in creating a harmonious musical experience for their music lovers.

They also presented a science fiction themed video clip for the song Young Man.
The video clip features all members of both bands along with JNKYRD, a friend of both bands who was also involved in the making of the project.
In addition, the Young Man music video was directed by Pennacky, a director known for Balming Tiger’s SEXY NUKIM music video and also Groin, a song from BTS member RM’s solo project.

This collaboration started from a casual conversation that took place in 2020 which seemed to have succeeded in manifesting this special collaboration project.
After that conversation, the two bands went on to do several small collaboration projects such as Sunset Rollercoaster making a remake version of Hyukoh’s song Help from the album Through Love, and Ohhyuk also appearing as a featuring artist on the song Candlelight on Sunset Rollercoaster’s album Soft Storm.
When Sunset Rollercoaster held a concert in Seoul in March 2023, many of their listeners saw members of Hyukoh also attending the event, which ultimately raised anticipation for the two bands to collaborate to a higher level, and not just feature or cover each other’s songs.

The AAA album marks the first album release for both bands in four years.
This collaborative project album brings together an ensemble of talented musicians, starting with Hyukoh with the unmatched vocal capabilities of frontman Ohhyuk, complemented by sweet and warm melodies written by Sunset Rollercoaster, as well as poetic lyrics that have been admired by fans all over the world.
With the release of Young Man as the first teaser, AAA’s future projects will further showcase the compactness of the two bands when combined. (Z-1)
