Joaquín Sabina in Buenos Aires: all the details about his farewell tour at the Movistar Arena | “Hello and Goodbye” Tour

Spanish singer-songwriter Joaquín Sabina announced on Thursday a farewell tour, titled “Hello and Goodbye”, which will take him to Latin America and Europe starting in February of next year. The Buenos Aires date is scheduled for March 24 and 26, 2025 at the Movistar Arena. Tickets are not yet on sale.

The last time Sabina visited Argentina was in March 2023, when he gave six full-house concerts at the Movistar Arena stadium, one in Córdoba and another in Rosario, as part of the “Contra todo opiniones” tour.

With this new tour, Sabina “offers the opportunity to say goodbye to songs that, although they are too young for the eternity that awaits them and that are so ours, no longer seem to come from a singer-songwriter, but from the very sources of popular tradition,” detailed the press release that he issued when announcing his tour.

“I know that on the last tour, although not out loud, I once said that this would be my last big tour. I’ve changed my mind, because I had such a good time and it was so exciting to be in America and Spain with my musicians on stage, that I’ve decided to do one last farewell tour,” announced the 75-year-old Andalusian singer in a video posted on Instagram.

“This will really be the last one, it will start at the end of January in America and then in Europe. I hope we’ll see each other there in ’25, a big hug, I know you won’t let me down, I promise not to let me down either, a big hug,” concluded the artist, who in recent years had to cancel some concerts due to health problems.

The most notable inconveniences arose from a two-metre fall from the stage during a concert in Madrid with Joan Manuel Serrat in February 2020, which caused him various traumas and for which he had to undergo surgery to evacuate an intercranial hematoma.
