Rawalpindi 65-year-old singer Azhar Kamil, who also works to spray cars with music in a workshop of President Rawalpindi.
Speaking to Independent Urdu, Azhar Kamil said that he started his career with Radio Pakistan in 1973 and later worked in many channels including PTV.
Azhar says that following not finding a suitable place, he said goodbye to the media industry and started regularly spraying cars in a workshop, from which he earns his livelihood.
Talking to Independent Urdu, Azhar Kamil said that ‘I was fond of music. I used to, I still do. He was also fond of drama. He also did Radio Also did, did a bit of TV but now obviously there is no opportunity there.
‘Now the work is not well received and we don’t have enough resources here.’
According to him, ‘I also opened my own workshop, first learned the work, then started doing it and am still doing it. Thanks to Allah. This is how I earn my living.’

Azhar Kamil said that there are many singers but he is very much influenced by Muhammad Rafi and Mehdi Hasan, people always ask him to listen to Muhammad Rafi’s songs.
Azhar Kamil further said that he records all his songs from his mobile phone and gives it to people for free so that his voice can reach the ears of every person for which he always has his mic and mobile in his pocket. .
