According to Khalil, because of the ponds, local and out-of-district tourists come to visit, and they also bring leftover raw food for the birds.

He further informed that they have constructed three ponds at a height of 3684 feet in Tatara mountain range while planning to construct ponds at three more places.

At Lindi Kotal, two kilometers from the road, their pond called Madwe is visited by a large number of tourists and due to its proximity to the road, the place is turning into a tourist spot.

Khalil believes his efforts are a message to future generations that there is a role to play in addressing the growing challenges of climate change.

Like other parts of Pakistan, Landi Kotal is also reeling under climate change, where two to two and a half feet of snow used to fall in the past, which has now become a thing of the past due to rising temperatures.

The water level here is also falling to an alarming level, the main proof of which is the drying up of many tube wells in the area and the people are facing difficulties due to the shortage of clean drinking water, while many villages are also getting water from the mountain springs. Khalil said that tourism can be promoted at the local level with the cooperation of the Department of Tourism and the Department of Public Health.
