Tenonderã Program: first disbursement of the year for participants was made

Asuncion, IP Agency.- A total of 3,557 projects were approved for this stage with two major innovations for the participants of the Tenonderã Program, administered by the Ministry of Social Development. The amount paid this Monday rose to G. 4 million; and, for the first time, disbursements will be made 100% via the banking network, continuing with the policy of strengthening the Social Protection System.

The first to receive their payment certificates were participants from the Central department, which has a total of 444 projects, which means a monetary injection of G. 1,776 million.

At the national level, the amount to be invested reaches G 14,228 million in this first payment. According to the planned plans, a second payment will be made in December totaling more than 7,000 projects that will be financed with this social program.

Minister Tadeo Rojas highlighted the increase from G. 3 million to G. 4 million in the amount per beneficiary and that, for the first time, 100% of payments will be made via debit cards. He urged participants to fulfill their commitments and invest the allocated resources wisely. These people were participants of Tekoporã Mbarete, and were selected to receive this support thanks to their commitment and desire to excel.

They are closely accompanied by the Socioeconomic Promoters who are the field workers of the Tenonderã Program.

Small productive projects will be financed with this resource, so Minister Rojas made clear the responsibility of the participants since they will have to report on the use of the resource they receive. “We are going to go out and explore, we are going to visit their projects and check that the resource of all Paraguayans is well used, just as they declared,” he affirmed.

“We see in you the ability, the will and the commitment to use this resource correctly so that it will yield more benefits later,” he said, recalling that out of some 180,000 Tekoporã participants, “you were selected to carry out your projects,” he added.

The award ceremony will take place next Wednesday in the city of Capiibary, San Pedro.

Tenonderã is a program to support socioeconomic promotion and inclusion. It proposes a strategy to increase assets, mainly productive, that contribute to the social promotion of families in poverty and vulnerability and to the sustainable graduation of families participating in the Tekoporã Program.

Its primary objective is to promote the socioeconomic inclusion of families in situations of poverty and vulnerability, in the Tekoporã program, through the development of capacities and the increase of productive and financial assets.

It also seeks to strengthen the socio-emotional skills (capabilities) of participating families. To guide the implementation of productive ventures with technical and financial assistance to participating families. To provide support to productive ventures and promote commercial links and specific technical assistance for the ventures.
