Ecopetrol reports that July 2, 2024 is the deadline for those interested in participating in the contracting process for helicopter air transport services in Ecopetrol Group companies to submit their offers.
In response to comments made by some of the bidders, Ecopetrol deemed it necessary to extend the deadline for submitting bids, initially set for May 27, until July 2, 2024. The process, to which 13 national and foreign companies were invited, opened on April 30, 2024. The company complied with the private law rules that govern its contractual activity.

Given the high sensitivity and complexity of this contracting process, Ecopetrol requested the support of the Attorney General’s Office, the supervisory body that has been carrying out preventive surveillance since May 23, 2024.
Within the framework of preventive surveillance, on July 2, 2024, the control entity made some observations to the contracting process, which are being reviewed by Ecopetrol.
These observations focus mainly on:
– Inform interested parties how the registration process is carried out.
– The publication of specific rules of the Election Method in SECOP.
– The financial risk analysis of the bidders.
– Guarantees on the continuity of the service.
– Economic analysis of offers in more than 2 currencies.
– The general methodology for analyzing offers.
The above observations will be answered in their entirety in order to comply with the preventive support process.

In parallel, Ecopetrol will continue with the process of analyzing offers and possible stages of negotiation with the bidders, which is expected to end at the beginning of August this year.
