On Tuesday, AC/DC released a short clip on X (formerly Twitter) in which the lightning bolt from the band logo and the text “Are You Ready” appear while the chorus from the AC/DC song of the same name plays. The following day, a second clip appeared in which the number 5 can be seen.
At the same time, a countdown is running on the hard rock veterans’ website, which ends next Monday at 9 a.m. CET.
There have been persistent rumors for some time that AC/DC will soon announce a world tour. AC/DC returned to the stage last October at the “Powertrip” festival in California following a seven-year break. It was also the live comeback of singer Brian Johnson, who left the band in 2016 due to hearing problems during a tour and was temporarily replaced by Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose. In 2020, AC/DC announced their return and released the album “Power Up”.
