The 16-year-old was thrown from the wagon and died at the scene of the accident, the Lower Austria State Police Directorate reported. He had been in the area of the shunting tracks with another young person.
The young Viennese man – he does not come from a district bordering Schwechat, as the police said upon request – was on the sidings for reasons still unknown when the accident occurred at around 8 p.m. His companion alerted the emergency services.
