Commission of ministers moves to Sucre state (+Details)

Since the early hours of Tuesday, July 2, 2024, Hurricane Beryl has claimed the lives of hundreds of families in the state of Sucre. A commission of ministers together with Vice President Delcy Rodríguez are traveling to assist those affected.

Through the official account on the social network “X”, Venezuelan Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez offered details and images in this regard.

“Following instructions from President Nicolás Maduro, we are going to the state of Sucre, together with a commission of ministers, to immediately assist the families affected by the rains caused by the passage of Hurricane Beryl through the Caribbean Sea,” he said.

“President Maduro has ordered the deployment of the National Risk System”the Vice President announced.

“It was learned, unofficially, that 3 people have died, 5 are missing and there are more than 3,000 homes affected by the overflow of the Manzanares River in the town of Cumanacoa, in the municipality of Montes in the state of Sucre. An official report is expected in the next few hours,” Camacho said on his X account.

“PNB officials, together with Civil Protection rescue teams and volunteer groups, are helping the affected people,” Camacho concluded.
