Edmundo González’s command says that the regime will not be able to avoid popular observation

The Command with Venezuela, which supports the presidential candidacy of Edmundo González Urrutia, issued a statement on Wednesday in reaction to the decision of the National Electoral Council to cancel the invitation it had made to the European Union to observe the presidential elections in Venezuela.

In a document endorsed by María Corina Machado, Omar Barboza, executive secretary of the Unitary Platform and González Urrutia, the campaign command assured that this decision “will not prevent the resounding victory of change from occurring.”

He believes that the regime resorts to this “to avoid being subject to qualified international observation, but will not be able to avoid being subject to popular electoral observation”.

The Command with Venezuela demanded that the ruler Nicolás Maduro “reverse the arbitrary decision that only confirms their minority status” and constitutes “evidence of the fear of qualified electoral observation”.

He assured that this decision will be fought by redoubling efforts for the construction of the most “robust electoral machinery in the history of the country” represented for the 600k plan.

It’s a statement broadcast on Tuesday night, The EU asked the authorities to reconsider of his decision and reminded him that they had committed themselves in the Barbados agreement to allow such observation.
