COMMISSION II of the DPR will summon the Election Honorary Council (DKPP) following the decision in the form of sanctions imposed on the Chairman of the General Election Commission (Pemilu) Hasyim Asy’ari. The sanction is in the form of dismissal.
“We will definitely summon the DKPP as well,” said Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the DPR, Yanuar Prihatin, when contacted on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
Yanuar said that the House of Representatives Commission II wanted to hear more regarding the decision that was handed down. Ideally, it would be to hear directly from the DKPP.
“To explore this topic further, we want to hear it directly and formally from the DKPP,” said Yanuar.
The National Awakening Party (PKB) politician ensured that the summons to Commission II of the DPR would be carried out in the near future. The summons also includes parties such as the KPU and the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).
“We also want to hear the views of the Ministry of Home Affairs,” said Yanuar.

The DKPP imposed a sanction in the form of permanent dismissal or dismissal on the Chairman of the Indonesian KPU, Hasyim Asy’ari, regarding alleged violations of the code of ethics for election organizers (KEPP) regarding immorality reported by CAT, a member of the Overseas Election Committee (PPLN) in The Hague.
The DKPP imposed the sanction in a verdict reading session which was read in the DKPP courtroom, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
“Imposing a permanent dismissal sanction on the defendant Hasyim Asy’ari as chairman and member of the KPU effective from the time this verdict is read,” said Chairman of the DKPP Assembly Heddy Lugito. (Z-8)
