McLaren driver Lando Norris said he wants to put more pressure on the current championship leader, Max Verstappen (Red Bull Team) in the Austrian GP series this weekend.
After a string of impressive results, including two consecutive second-place finishes behind the Dutchman, Norris said he wants to cut his 69-point deficit in the 2024 title race.
The British driver is confident he has the car and confidence needed to win.
“We’re in great form and we’re doing well. I just need to iron out a few little bits and we’ll be at the top. I’m confident of that,” Norris said, quoted on Friday (28/6).
“Every weekend we’ve had now, the car has performed really well and we’ve always been up there,” he added.
However, the 24-year-old racer admitted that he still had regrets for not being able to convert the pole position he achieved into victory at the Spanish GP last week.
