Heavy rain occurred in Hokuriku and Tohoku on July 3 and 4
According to the latest weather forecast from the Japan Meteorological Association, the plum rain front is expected to gradually move northward from Honshu on July 3, reaching Hokuriku and Tohoku areas like Akita and Niigata on July 4. Heavy rain is expected in some areas, especially from the evening of July 3 to the morning of July 4. Everyone should be alert to landslides, floods in low-lying areas and river overflows, and stay away from rivers, mountain sides, and other places. Drivers should avoid driving in underground tunnels!

Japan’s rainy season is expected to end in July
The rainy season in Japan typically lasts from the end of May to mid-July each year.
