The animal was freed from its predicament, reported the EVN subsidiary Netz NÖ in a press release on Tuesday. After an alarm was raised, the deer was spotted on surveillance cameras. After being rescued and examined by the gamekeeper, it was released unharmed into the wild.

“The deer seemed fit, but could not go forward or backward. After consulting the responsible gamekeeper, I began to carefully free the wild animal,” reported Rene Haydu, technician at Netz NÖ.
