Three extra cities have been declared catastrophe areas following extreme hail hit northern Waldviertel on Sunday. Because of this seven villages within the communities of Waldkirchen an der Taja and Dobersberg are affected, because the regional fireplace brigade command of Werdhofen an der Taja introduced on Tuesday night.
Along with Waldkirchen an der Thaja, Gilgenberg and Lapolz and Leksnitz in Dobersberg, Valders (Waldkirchen an der Thaja), Reibers and Buren (each municipalities of Dobersberg) close to Dobersberg are actually additionally catastrophe areas. Cleanup efforts will proceed Tuesday morning. About 100 firefighters are stated to be on obligation.
