Final season, NAC Breda completed eighth within the Eerste Divisie, which earned them a spot within the Eredivisie play-offs. There, they defeated higher-ranked opponents Roda Kerkrade (3:1, 5:0), FC Emmen (1:1, 3:0) and Excelsior Rotterdam (6:2, 1:4) in two matches, thus vaulting them into the very best degree of play within the Netherlands.
