Elli Barbayanni was born in Nafpaktos and grew up in Athens.
He studied on the Division of Schooling and Early Childhood Schooling of the College of Patras.
He then studied Portray on the Athens Faculty of Effective Arts with professors Triantafyllos Patraskidis and Martinos Gavathas, scenography with Giorgos Ziakas and mosaic with Yiannis Valavanidis and graduated with distinction.
He was awarded the 2nd portray prize on the “2nd Assembly of Younger Creators” competitors of the Vakalos college.
He collaborated with the Macedonian Museum of Up to date Artwork (2002-2003).
Since 2005 he lives and works in Patras.
