PRESIDENT Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has ordered the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) to construct 1000’s of water pumps. That is an effort to stop drought because of warmth waves.
The President stated that growth can be carried out in areas which have rice manufacturing. The event additionally includes the TNI via a variety of regional army instructions.
“Cooperate with the TNI, the TNI Commander and the regional army instructions to rapidly set up and construct pumps, maybe 20 thousand pumps,” stated President Jokowi in his speech on the 2024 Nationwide Coordination Assembly (Rakornas) for Inflation Management, on the State Palace, Central Jakarta , Friday, (14/6).
The President defined that the presence of this pump will channel water from the river to the rice fields. The federal government will reduce water wasted into the ocean.
“Do not let water enter the ocean,” he stated.
The Head of State stated that presently 1,600 pumps have been constructed. He confirmed that he would examine the development of the pump.
“So when it is actually dry due to El Niño, July has began, in August September we’re prepared in order that manufacturing would not drop,” he defined. (Z-8)
