Fiona Harvey initially claimed publicly that she was the inspiration for the character Martha. She mentioned she bore a bodily resemblance to her and was, like her, a lawyer in London. Now she has filed a lawsuit in federal courtroom in Los Angeles.
In it, she argues that Netflix and the sequence’ creator, Richard Gadd, went too far by suggesting within the sequence that she was sentenced to 5 years in jail for stalking and harassing an individual. She is neither a stalker nor has she been incarcerated.
“Lie”
Hundreds of Reddit and Tiktok customers might not inform the distinction and spoke of her as the actual Martha, the title of the character within the sequence. “The defendants instructed these lies and by no means stopped as a result of it was a greater story than the actual story and higher tales made cash,” the lawsuit states. Netflix mentioned it might defend itself vigorously.
Within the sequence, which claims to be a real story, Martha stalks a person, the creator of the sequence, for years. She sends him hundreds of emails, follows him, lies in look ahead to him outdoors his house and likewise harasses family and friends.
